Colt extends relationship with IBM to accelerate adoption of Edge Computing

Colt Technology Services, leading providers of global high-bandwidth connectivity solutions across Europe, USA & Asia, has chosen IBM Cloud Satellite to increase customer innovation and flexibility when deploying hybrid cloud applications at the edge and enabling distributed clouds.

Colt Technology Services and IBM, recently announced that they are extending their existing partnership to include IBM Cloud Satellite in the Colt Edge platform.

Combining the flexibility of IBM Cloud Satellite deployment with Colt’s edge platform, customers of Colt Technology Services will now have access to the speed, security, and performance they need to leverage IBM Cloud. IBM Cloud Satellite allows enterprises to securely extend IBM Cloud to where their workloads are running. Customers will have access to a more consistent and secure set of cloud services like such as AI, security, and automation.

Colt will work with IBM to develop customer use cases that rely on low latency to leverage AI, 5G, and IoT. These use cases can be deployed throughout Colt’s IQ networks located at the edge of customers and networks, with over 29,000 in netbuilding and 900 data centers.
